Be My Neighbor
Daniel Tigher Neighbor Day KBYU’S BE MY NEIGHBOR is all about growing–growing better families and better neighbors through the simple act of growing a garden. Growing a garden together is the perfect activity to develop what researchers have identified as the nine characteristics of successful families: love and appreciation, time together, encouragement, commitment, communication, adaptability, faith, connection and clear responsibilities.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood uses these characteristics to teach children about being good neighbors in their homes and communities. Daniel Tiger and his friends learn by sharing, performing acts of kindness and expressing gratitude. Working together throughout the summer, parents and children will strengthen these qualities, just like Daniel, as they grow their gardens, families and neighborhoods.

Share the fun Be My Neighbor activities you’re doing with us and your community by posting on KBYU’s social media. Your experiences can help others and may even be featured on KBYU-TV!
