Project Read's mission is to improve literacy in the community. They work with anyone 16 and older whose reading and writing are below a 7th grade level. One of the greatest advantages of their program is that each student will receive an individual tutor with whom they will meet twice a week. The program as been going on for many years, and has been shown to allow for drastic changes in the lives of the students. Something that so many take for granted, is the key that many lack to be able to provide better for themselves and for their families.
