When Families Grieve

Helping a child through the grieving process can be challenging. This special follows four families who are coping with the loss of a loved one. The show performs a valuable service to families everywhere by creating awareness of the courageous struggles of parents and children and by sharing the strategies that have helped them move forward while keeping the memories alive.

With the help of Katie Couric and the Sesame Street Muppets, When Families Grieve imparts information, shares strategies, and provides resources to all those who face the daunting challenge of helping a child cope with and heal from the painful reality of a loved one’s death.
